Pitch IN Day with Youth In Power

I just want to say how proud I am of all the young people (and adults) who pitched on Monday to help clean up Smiths Falls. We managed to collect about 6 bags of garbage and one huge bag of recyclables, as well as some very interesting and hilarious random items! Although we didn't find a number "10", I would rate the afternoon a "10"!

Shout out!

I just wanted to give all the YIPPERS a "thumbs up" for today's meeting. I was very happy about how everyone worked so great together and we got a lot done tonight. Great job everyone and I am really looking forward to working on the Youth Engagement Forum project with you! You Rock!!

First of many I'm sure!

I just wanted to congratulate the members that attended the All Candidates Debate on Monday night! You did a wonderful job of representing the youth in the community and asked two very important questions about unemployment and homelessness in our town! I want you know you make a difference everytime you show up in public with those shirts on and people ask .."What is Youth in Power?!" Chris did a great job of answering that to a citizen who was curious! The people were so happy to see the youth represented in such a way! So once again .. keep up the GREAT work everyone and I am proud to be associated with such an amazing group of young people!
